Notes
We presented ideas for drawing projects and this was the best one my teacher liked. I used the fleck from the fixative to create the stars in the background. My intention was to make the character seem as small as possible in contrast to the star and space around them. The effect is an empathic response for the person, who feels alone and sad despite no real indication of that being the case. The rendering is certainly more graphic than realistic, which draws from my background of digital work.
